Ball Adjustment

Poseball Adjustment Menu

Accessing the Poseball Adjustment Menu:
• If you’re on the poseball, you can access the menu by a double clicking the mouse in world (just click anywhere where you don’t touch a clickable object). You can also double click the empty area of the SL menubar (between the land name and clock).
• Alternatively you can access the menu by right-clicking the poseball and select: ‘Adjust’ (if the poseball is not visible, leave the ball for a moment, or the owner can make it visible via the XPOSE menu: ‘Options >> Adjust Pos’). Adjustment Keys:
• If you’re sitting on the ball and double click the mouse, the menu will appear and the control keys will be activated, so you can adjust the position of the poseball. (If the keys are not active, select: ‘KEYS ON’) – use the FWD, BACK, LEFT, RIGHT control keys to move and rotate (arrows or A,S,D,W) – use the UP, DOWN controls to move up and down (PgUp,PgDn or E,C) – use Shift-LEFT, Shift-RIGHT controls to move sideways
• If you select ‘Tilt Adjust’: – use the FWD/BACK controls to tilt the avatar forward/back – use the LEFT/RIGHT controls to tilt the avatar left/right • If you select ‘Fine Adjust’, you can make smaller adjustments.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
• If the avatar/ball doesn’t move, the viewer/cursor is probably not focussed in world. Press ‘Esc’ or click somewhere in world. If you have more than one window and/or menudialog open (if there are yellow >>> arrows in the right bottom of the blue menudialog), the control keys can loose focus and you need to press ‘Esc’ or click in world.
• The movements are always relative to the poseball. F.i. if the ball is rotated 90 degrees backwards, if you press FWD, the ball and avatar will move forward from their reference point, but upwards in the world. But with a laying animation (orientated horizontally, without the ball being rotated), UP/DOWN will still change the height.

Lock Camera View:
• Normally, when touching a control key, the view will reset. By selecting ‘LOCK CAM’ you can stay focused and zoomed in while using the control keys. Note: with the camera view locked you can still change the view, but when you press a key the view will swing back to the locked position.
• To set a new view position select ‘RELOCK CAM’.
• When you select ‘FREE CAM’ or ‘Off’ the view will be normal again. Note: the CAM buttons will only show when the adjustment keys are on, when the adjustment keys are off the camera view will never be locked (there isn’t any reason to lock the view).

Set Level:
• This will set the poseball level (remove any tilt angle around the world’s X- and Y-axis). Recall Position:
• Select ‘Recall Pos’ to undo any changes and set the original position.

Adj Show/Hide:
• Press ‘Adj Show’ to change the poseball into a transparant beam, easy to select for positioning (or accessing this menu).

Save Pos:
• Only the owner can select ‘Save Pos’, for others the button will be disabled, showing: ( sorry, only owner can use this optoin )
• ‘Save Pos’ will ask if you want to save the positions of the currently selected pose and of any objects rezzed by XPOSE (the same as selecting ‘Save Pos’ from the XPOSE menu).

Exit:
• Press ‘Exit’ to leave the menu Note that this will not switch off the keys or release the camera view (to do that, select: ‘Off’).

Off:
• Press ‘Off’ to stop adjusting (leave menu, switch off keys, release camera view). User Access: The owner can disable or rescrict access to the poseball adjustment menu.
• In the default XPOSE menu, select: ‘Options >> Access >> Ball Menu’ and select: Ball Menu: Off Ball Menu: Owner – only the owner can operate the menu

Ball Menu: Group – only groupmembers can operate the menu (you need to set a Group to the ~XPOSE~ball too)
Ball Menu: All – everyone can operate the menu
• In the .SETTINGS notecard you can change the default setting: BALLMENU OFF BALLMENU OWNER – only the owner can operate the menu BALLMENU GROUP – only groupmembers can operate the menu (you need to set a Group to the ~XPOSE~ball too) BALLMENU ALL – everyone can operate the menu Default Keys On/Off and Camera view locked/free:
• You can change the defaults when first selecting the menu: – take the “~XPOSE~ball” out of the XPOSE object – click on the ball to sit – double click in world to open the menu – select either: ‘LOCK CAM’ or ‘FREE VIEW’ (‘LOCK CAM’ is recommended to automatically lock the camera view when keys are on) ‘KEYS ON’ or ‘KEYS OFF’ (however select ‘KEYS ON’ first if you want to change default ‘LOCK CAM’ or ‘FREE VIEW’).

Adjusting other balls
• The owner can also adjust the positions of other avatars. Make the poseballs visible via the XPOSE menu: ‘Options >> Adjust Pos’). Then right-click the transparant beam and select ‘Adjust’.
• You can adjust more than one ball at the same time. But you can’t move them together in the same direction (unless they have the same orientation/rotation). NOTES: – If you select ‘KEYS OFF’ for one ball, they are switched off for the other ball(s) too, you need to select ‘KEYS ON’ on the other ball(s) again. – Double clicking the mouse will bring up the menu of each poseball that you’ve selected earlier, select ‘Off’ when you’re done with a poseball to avoid confusion.
